Simple Apple Crisp
Being that the weather is turning colder, I figured I would share a very simple recipe for Apple Crisp:
3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
3/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup Oats
3 fresh and ripe apples (cored, peeled, and sliced into thin slices)
6x9 glass baking dish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, take some butter outside of what you need for the recipe and butter baking dish (thin film).
Be sure to peel/core apples before slicing into thin slices and then layer in the bottom of the pan until you have about 1/2" of space left.
Take all of your other items and place them in a microwave safe bowl, and heat on high for 45 seconds, or until the butter is melted. Mixed up this mixture until everything is coated and the butter is absorbed by the oats.
Layer the mixture on top of the apples until you make a 'crust', then pop in the over for 30 minutes at 350. Allow to rest for 10 minutes after baking so the crisp can finish cooking outside of the oven.
EAT!
